Our client is looking for a Senior Process Engineer with both design
office and commissioning experience. They are looking for a permanent
member of staff to work at one of their sites.

Pay Scale
Permanent – Salary dependent on experience

Role Overview
• Responsible for Safety and Environmental implications of engineering design
• Responsible for process design development
• Detailed equipment and valve calculations
• Generation of checking of equipment data sheets
• Responsible for changes to design documentation
• Development and approval of P&ID`s and PFD`s in accordance with company procedures
• Act as HAZOP team member, secretary or chairman
• Carry out literature searches
• Carry out feasibility studies
• Approval of operating procedures
• Approval of control philosophy
• Responsible for collation of design information
• Selection and liaison with equipment suppliers
• Investigate, develop and train others in new processes and design techniques
• Checking of others’ process engineering design work
• Manage medium sized process engineering projects
• Act as the main client liaison during project execution
• Prepare process engineering working-hour estimates and manage process engineering budget
• Responsible for the quality of the process design and documentation relating to a project
• Assisting with internal auditing
• Financial responsibility for managing medium process engineering projects
• Helping the preparation & Issue of RFQ’s, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc
• Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations

Key Skills & Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering
• 5+ years process engineering design experience
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Good level of literacy and numeracy
• Problem solving skills
• Effective communication and time management
• Ability to lead a team of process engineers/draughtsmen
• Ability to manage costs
