We
are recruiting for an Operations Manager to be based in the North East.
This is a full time permanent role. On offer is a very competitive

  • The
    Operations Manager has responsibility, authority and accountability for
    successful execution of all business operations and project activities
    within the boundaries defined by the company’s authority limits, or as
    delegated by their Head of Operations.
  • The
    Operations Manager must manage contracts, projects, project staff and /
    or subcontracts in a safe and productive manner, deliver term framework
    agreements, project and project packages on time and in line with all
    contract specifications, achieve full client satisfaction, meet all
    quality and commercial key performance indicators (KPI’s), whilst
    maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues. The
    holder will also deputise for the Head of UK Operations when necessary
  • We’re
    looking for an Operations Manager to manage contracts, projects, and
    project staff someone who is pro-active, strong, and has the attention
    to detail and tenacity to keep on top of multiple projects (and their
    Project Managers), to ensure that they are managed to schedule, budget,
    Health, Safety & Quality expectations and in-line with all
    contractual specifications.
  • This
    will be an individual with vast experience in the Engineering
    Construction industry, and with the drive to ensure that multiple
    projects achieve full client satisfaction, and meet all quality and
    commercial key performance indicators, whilst maintaining excellent
    relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • The
    role will be based in the North East office, in Teesside, and will
    predominantly be office-based, but with frequent visits to UK-wide
    (mainly the Humber and Teesside) projects sites, client and off-site
    meetings.
  • The
    right person will have a strong character, be highly organised, and
    have a proven track record in managing people and virtual teams –
    someone who can really demonstrate and lead excellence in project
    delivery. They will have real business, commercial and financial savvy,
    and be comfortable in deciphering, predicting and communicating detailed
    financial information. They won’t be afraid to challenge, and will
    pro-actively dig to the root-cause of issues quickly and confidently, to
    ensure projects stay on-track. They will also be confident in dealing
    with Engineers and with design documents, as well as document control
    protocol.

In
terms of the projects they will oversee, it will range from
multi-million pound design and build projects to on-going maintenance
frameworks and everything in-between. It’s an interesting, varied role,
which will be demanding – but very rewarding to the right person.

They
will be offering a highly competitive salary, which is negotiable and
dependent on the demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience of the
candidate. There would also be car allowance, pension, life insurance,
optional private healthcare and the opportunity to earn bonus, depending
upon successful performance in terms of the bonus scheme criteria.
