We currently have an excellent opportunity for a service driven IT
Helpdesk Administrator to join our reputable Bradford based client.

The
successful candidate will provide support to internal IT users ensuring
that Helpdesk tickets, service requests and IT equipment are kept
updated at all times

Daily Responsibilities

  • Responsible
    for IT support to all internal users, effectively manage helpdesk
    tickets, Incident management, Service request fulfilment, Asset
    Management and equipment provision
  • Ability to communicate system updates between the Group ICT and suppliers
  • Manage the office environment and storage areas, keeping all areas tidy
  • Monitor servers on a daily basis, looking for OS errors, hardware warnings, server capacities etc
  • Ability to install and configure new hardware / software, servers back-up, PC’s, mobile PDA’s
  • Be flexible on working outside normal office hours, where required, to reduce impact of critical activities on the business
  • Ability
    to accurately keep records for reference where needed e.g. Installation
    procedures, troubleshooting procedures, log-in credentials
  • Provide
    accurate, relevant information when working with third party suppliers
    and colleagues, to resolve issues, implement new software / hardware
    etc.
  • Manage day to day actions with third party suppliers for IT / Telephony contracts
  • You
    will be constantly engaging in learning new technologies that will
    broaden your knowledge, gaining more responsibilities as you develop and
    become familiar with the IT infrastructure.

Essential Requirements:

  • Understanding of Computer Hardware and software
  • Understanding of Computer Networking
  • Familiar with telephony systems and be able to fault find and deal with third party support companies
  • Understanding of hardware, be able to troubleshoot component failure and swap out replacement parts when needed
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Ideally a working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Android and iOS
  • Excllent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, and manage own workload
  • Ability to build good relationships at all levels
